The Time Guardians Book 2: The Galilean Gambit

The Time Guardians: The Galilean Gambit (Book 2)

The Chronos Crew returns for their most dangerous mission yet—and this time, they only have 27 hours to save history itself!

Fresh from their Egyptian adventure, twelve-year-old Juno Jones and her friends—the Chronos Crew—are still learning to balance normal middle school life with their secret roles as Time Guardians. But when a corrupted temporal portal suddenly opens in their headquarters, they're forced to make an impossible choice: face capture by the sinister Tempus Corporation, or leap unprepared into Renaissance Florence with a terrifying deadline—return within 27 hours or be trapped in 1610 forever.

Landing in Florence during the feast of San Lorenzo, the young Guardians must navigate a city of breathtaking art, dangerous politics, and revolutionary science. Their mission: recover the Celestial Mapper, a powerful time artifact hidden among Galileo Galilei's astronomical instruments. But Tempus agents have infiltrated the Medici court, and they're not the only threat. When Max accidentally shares future knowledge with Galileo, he triggers a temporal storm that threatens to erase Florence from history.

Now the Chronos Crew must:

• Infiltrate a Medici palace celebration
• Steal four mystical components from across the city
• Protect Galileo's world-changing discoveries
• Navigate a villa fractured across multiple time periods
• Face their greatest enemy atop Brunelleschi's magnificent dome

With time literally running out—their bodies beginning to fade from the Renaissance—the four friends discover that saving history demands more than courage. It requires sacrifice, growth, and the unbreakable bonds of friendship.

From Galileo's workshop to the top of Florence's iconic cathedral, from Renaissance parties to temporal battles across centuries, "The Galilean Gambit" blends authentic history with thrilling adventure.
