Time, Memory, and Change is a collection of five essays and thirty-five poems written by Deborah Tulani Salahu-Din. Her writings tell the story of her remarkable journey from Maryland's Eastern Shore to destinations in Europe, Africa, and throughout the United States. This collection distills lessons learned and taught, and they encourage readers to value and write their own stories as a way of promoting better understanding among people, cultures, and nations.

Deborah Tulani Salahu-Din has taught writing and African American literature at Morgan State University for ten years, and most recently worked as an education report writer for Educational Testing Service in Princeton, New Jersey. She also has ten years of experience researching and writing for African American museum exhibitions. Ms. Salahu-Din currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland with her family.
