Time Out Dublin (Time Out Guides)

Time Out's guide to Dublin delves deep into the city's heart and soul as it teeters on the precipice of yet another transformation. Nearing the end of its epoch as the prime beneficiary of the EU's largesse, the Irish Tiger economy is beginning to look more like the Irish Tabby, and Dublin itself is deep in introspection. The city's surface has been polished like never before in its history, but Time Out Dublin looks beneath the shiny veneer to the humble, wonderful, historic, complex, and conflicted city that it has always been. With the Time Out guide, freshly updated by those who know the city best—its locals—travelers will find the best of its sights, and avoid the worst. Travelers can lose themselves in the tangled alleyways, lose their cash on Grafton Street, or misplace common sense in Temple Bar. However they come into this town, Time Out will take them directly to the best it has to offer. Highlights include dozens of new restaurant reviews by Dublin's best critics and suggestions for easy day trips to take in the gorgeous Irish countryside.

Local writers and experts have got to grips with Dublin's fast-changing urban landscape, sorting the essential sights from the tourist traps to bring you the insiders' view of life in the Irish capital.
