About the Author
Fred Nashed, AIA, is a project manager for the architectural and planning firm of Stull and Lee, Inc., in Boston, Massachusetts. During his 40 years of architectural experience in Texas, North Caroline, Massachusetts, and abroad, he has been involved in the design and preparation of construction drawings for several major project types including industrial, commercial, educational, and other types of buildings. In 1980, his design for the $27 million Houston Bus Maintenance Facility won the Texas Society of Architects Award for Design Excellence. Two years earlier, he received one of the Annual Drawing Award for Design Excellence. two years earlier, he received one of the Annual Drawing Awards from the chapter of the Houston AIA. His work has also been featured in Architectural Record, Progressive Architecture, and the Texas Architect. Mr. Nashed has a Master s degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and is NCARB certified.
