oblong4to. 24x 30cm, 41p., with 3 full-page circular charts, multi-column tables (distances & conversions), large rear folding world map, rebound in wine library buckram, gilt spine titles, small library stamp on rear endpaper, the paper is brittle, not many copies could have survived, handle with care, very good copy, scarce. (Ds1). ~ No copies on line. ~ A practical maritime book provided by the British Admiralty. Commander J. McKirdy, R.N.R., was Marine Superintendent with Shaw, Savil, & Albion Company, a British Steamship Line (formed in 1882) operating ships between Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand. Loosely inserted is a 2 page "Almanac for 1902".
