The event is almost to the year of their landing. 11: British 1st Division takes the Italian island of Pantelleria, between Tunisia and Sicily, capturing 11,000 Italian troops. 12: The Italian island of Lampedusa, between Tunisia and Sicily, surrenders to the Allies. 13: Heavy US aircraft losses over Kiel. We are a cottage-based affair, located in a circa 1890 shingle-style cottage overlooking La Playa Cove near San Diego. When we aren't schellpping books and prints,or the occassional antique, we are out riding our bikes, trimming our trees, or having a perfectly lovely time in our garden.
