The Newfoundland Poetry Series was begun in 1993 as Breakwater's twentieth anniversary project to honour and preserve the literary talents of our Newfoundland and Labrador poets. Selection is based on quality. Breakwater's aim is to make the series affordable to as many lovers of poetry as possible.

About the Author

Born in Vancouver, Randall Maggs has since made a steady migration eastward. His upbringing was mainly on the West Coast and the Prairies. His father's and his own Air Force careers led to his living in Ontario, Montreal, Fredericton, and Halifax. For the last 18 years, he has lived with his family in Corner Brook where he teaches literature at Grenfell College, writes, turns and carves local hardwoods and happily prowls the hills and bowls and trails of spectacular Western Newfoundland.
