Hardcover with DJ. Illustrated paper over boards with green and brown lettering. Spine is chipped at head and foot. Front hinge is split from binding, but cover remains attached to spine. Matching DJ illustration of young boy sitting on hill looking at butterflies. DJ is protected by Brodart cover. Slightly toned and rubbed, but in good condition overall. Title page dated 1945. Copyright note dated 1937. Binding is fragile. Pages are free of marks, with bright color illustrations by Ruth Holbrook throughout.

Priority mailing is for a Flat-Rate envelope, with tracking included. If the book does not fit into a flat rate envelope, we will likely need to request extra shipping costs from you, in order to put it in a box. Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
If you'd like tracking, please let us know before you place the order - We're happy to do it but it costs $1 extra because it means we have to print a shipping label for it individually, slowing down the shipping process considerably -- and we want to be able to keep basic shipping costs as low as we can.
