Baking tins usually see daylight only when we're making cakes or the Sunday roast. But with a little imagination, these kitchen stalwarts can do so much more. Did you know that the best chocolate brownie tin is also a perfect fit for Sweetly spiced roast chicken with chorizo or Blackberry vodka marshmallows? That a simple loaf tin can make a mean Berry ripple ice cream and towering Spicy sausage and fennel lasagnes, as well as heartbreakingly tasty bread? Or that a classic tray bake tin is the ideal size for an Oven baked chicken and roast garlic risotto and a Sweet potato and mustard gratin as well as Almond and blueberry bars?By making better use of what's already in our kitchens, we can create more space in our homes and in our lives to enjoy what we eat. The Tin and Traybake Cookbook takes the six most popular shaped baking tins (square, round, tray bake, muffin, roasting, and loaf) and uses them to create brilliant baking, poaching, freezing, setting and roasting recipes for every meal. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Sam Gates is an author, cookery teacher, TV guru and mum. She worked as marketing director of the UK's first food channel before starting her own company, working with clients such as BBC Food, BBC Radio and small food producers. Her first family cookbook, Food for your Brood, was published in 2015.
Sam is also a contributor to the Royal Marsden Cancer Cookbook, Liz Earl WellbeingMagazine, and a regular guest on BBC Radio's Cook on the Books. She is a member of The Guild of Food Writers, and runs cooking classes for corporates, schools and charities, teaching toddlers, students, pensioners and the WI how to make sushi.
Sam's second book, The Tin & Traybake Cookbook featuring 100 sweet and savoury recipes, was published by Robinson in 2018.
Juggling family, work, life and cooking was the inspiration behind The Batch Cook Book and its budget friendly, low-waste recipes. Sam has been batch cooking since she was a frugal student, and now as a working mum to a hungry family (and even hungrier rescue dog) it's become a way of life.
