Tired of Waiting for Tomorrow

Things have never been easy for our friends in Lederville, but throw a nation-wide shutdown in the mix, and things are even more complicated than ever.

Emma and Sandra have finally made it official - they’re girlfriends! Moments after, Emma receives a call from her father. Her parents are gravely ill and need her to come care for them in their small rural town several hours from Lederville. Now Emma needs to hide her new queer joy from her extremely conservative parents while trying to keep their new relationship afloat.

When the virus shuts down school, Sandra has to put her future career on hold to work double shifts to keep her pregnant daughter and grandson safe. And while Sandra’s feelings for Emma are bigger than she’s ever experienced before, the long distance combined with isolation hits her harder than she anticipated.

Gwen is finally tackling her grief over the love of her life. When the stress of this and working with vulnerable populations during the pandemic begins to be too much for her, she needs to learn to ask for help and find new ways to cope in order to survive.

Charlie left their transphobic household and is living with Gwen. Now they’re trying to finish high school, apply to colleges, and work part-time. They’re on their own for the first time ever, and it’s proving to be a challenge.

Will our friends be able to stay safe from a deadly virus and keep their lives on track while the world is burning around them?
