The reports, primarily from the "Daily Sketch" and "The Times", have an immediacy, pathos, and wealth of human interest even more than 80 years after the tragedy. The coverage is from the sinking on the night of 14 April 1912 through to the end of the British inquiry, four months later. It includes 400 Titanic-related photographs and the only surviving photograph of the Tussaud model of the ship's commander - Captain E.J. Smith.
