. This is an almost-popular treatment of the General Theory of Relativity that Einstein published in 1916. More books have been written on this topic than best-selling novels; I myself have read about ten of them, the first ones during my university years and then when I decided to deepen my knowledge on the subject. This third volume of my "scientific overview of the universe" series follows the first book dedicated to astrophysics, which was a great success, and the second book dedicated to the "Special Theory of Relativity". This third volume completes the analysis of Einstein's work, constituting the "Relativity" that forms the foundation of our modern scientific history. The text is written using the same method as the previous ones: I have maintained the goal of clarity for most readers, and I have not abandoned rigorous explanations in favor of overly simplified popularization.
