In the quiet warmth of a barn on a north Alabama farm, a tiny puppy named Toffee is born into a world she cannot hear and barely see. But what she lacks in senses, she makes up for in boundless courage. When the farmer discovers Toffee and her litter mates, a journey begins to find them loving homes.
While being cared for by a foster family, an unexpected accident sends Toffee tumbling into a hidden crevice, fear turns to determination - not just for Toffee, but for an entire community that rises to the challenge of bringing her home. From a dedicated rescue team to the ingenuity of a local plumber and a small girl, this heartwarming true story unfolds with suspense, teamwork, and unwavering hope. The community rallies to save Toffee as neighbors, firefighters, and strangers unite in an extraordinary mission of courage and resolve. As the world watches, Toffee reminds everyone that even the smallest hearts can inspire the greatest acts of bravery.
A tale of perseverance, love, and the power of community, Toffee's Great Rescue will leave readers of all ages cheering for a pup whose courage knows no bounds.

About the Author
Nancy Finnegan is a gifted watercolor artist and a highly sought-after professional makeup artist in North Alabama. Her journey into painting began in the winter of 2019, sparked by the heartfelt project of preparing a room for her daughter's homecoming after college graduation. When the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily halted her makeup services, Nancy embraced watercolor painting - an innate talent that quickly led her to become a highly regarded commissioned artist.Beyond her artistic prowess, Nancy is deeply committed to philanthropy. As a mother to two children who have received wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, she goes above and beyond to support the organization, donating paintings to numerous nonprofit events to help raise funds for children in need. In 2024, she designed a stunning city-scape of Huntsville for Make-A-Wish kids to paint and auction off at their gala, turning her art into a vehicle for hope. She was also recently commissioned by the Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama to create a meaningful piece that will soon hang in their new building.Nancy's artwork has found a home in prestigious locations, including the stadium offices of the North Alabama Trash Pandas baseball team and the Arizona State University Hockey Arena. Now, she steps into a new chapter, illustrating "Toffee's Great Rescue, " her first children's book. Like countless others nationwide, she watched Toffee's live rescue unfold and was thrilled when asked to bring the story to life through her illustrations.Painting has become Nancy's passion, and she envisions it as her lifelong career. A proud native of Houston, Texas, she has called Huntsville home for the past 21 years, raising her three children while keeping her Texas roots strong. When she's not immersed in her artwork, you can find her cheering on her be-loved Houston Astros, blending her love for creativity with her enduring hometown spirit.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
