Hardcover with original DJ, [Format 1 per Mattson] (Format 1 per AXE) 1956 (actually 1957, see below) Grosset & Dunlap 214 pages. Very Good+, in a VG DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear and edge fading to original medium blue tweed cloth boards with dark blue silhouette of Tom Swift Jr on front cover and dark blue titles on spine - corners sharp. Blue and white endpapers, frontispiece and all 9 illustrations are by Graham Kaye on plain paper. Ghostwriter is James Lawrence. Blue topstain. Rear inside cover has the bookstore stamp of the famous and sadly long gone Hudsons Book Store which was a part of the Hudsons Department Store of Detroit, Michigan. Minor shelf/edge wear, one closed tear/wrinkle and dust soiling to original DJ that still has vibrant colors. DJ now in mylar. Small area of foxing to the backside of the DJ along the spine. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. Good paper. 25 chapters. This is the 9th title in a series of 33. [Format 1 per Mattson] (Format 1 per AXE) Inside book lists to Tom Swift and His Ultrasonic Cycloplane (which was published in 1957) and has 100100 at top and 110-150 at bottom. Rear DJ has ad for Tom Corbett Space Cadet, The Robot Rocket. Per AAC Boys Series Books by Axe, pg 26,27 and Mattson 58600. A very respectable vintage copy that still presents well in the original DJ. LOC SSS-11.…
