Tommy's Red-tailed Hawk

Based on a true story from 1942, Tommy's Red-tailed Hawk is a heartfelt tale of courage, kindness, and the healing power of nature.

When a baby red-tailed hawk falls from its nest, eight-year-old Tommy is determined to save him. With his mother's help, Tommy learns how to feed, train, and care for the fragile bird he names Chance. But as Chance grows stronger, Tommy must face the hardest part of love-letting go.

Together, boy and hawk learn about trust, strength, and the true meaning of freedom. This beautifully told story honors the compassion of a young boy and the wild spirit of the hawk he loved.
