About the Author

Arlene Lighthall's family sent clothing to European refugees after World War II. In gratitude for a pair of galoshes, a professor sent his war-time diary. Arlene has studied German, travels extensively and she spent time with the family before writing Tomorrow, My Son, her first novel. After retiring as a professor from MiraCosta College, she sold articles to the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and various magazines.
