Love is a heavenly power Hanover in the 19th century. Two men vie for the favour of the young maidservant Anna: the romantic journeyman piano builder Roland Hauser and the passionate composer Harald van Basten. One day Anna happens upon a bundle of love letters in van Basten’s closet, and she decides to find out more ... In this his second novel, Cordts once again artfully weaves the theme of music into a puzzling criminal case and a grand love story. Press “I’ve read Rainer Cordts’s Leander with pleasure, in places even with a bit of envy, and I’m eagerly looking forward to his next book.” Gisbert Haefs Author Rainer Cordts, born in 1954, studied History and French. He worked for a number of years as a journalist and in public relations before deciding to become a writer.
