Previously an elementary school teacher, Jennifer Storey Gillis knows how to intrigue and motivate young children with her numerous projects, puzzles and yummy recipes. Such treasures are found in her Storey Books: An Apple A Day!, Green Beans & Tambourines, Hearts & Crafts, Puddle Jumpers, and Tooth Truth. Parents and teachers will find a large variety of ideas in her books that are sure to please any child. Janice Hughes of the Associated Press Features writes the following of Jennifer's In a Pumpkin Shell: "Storey Gillis does a great job explaining to kids how to grow pumpkins. Choosing seeds, pulling weeds, (watch out for that stem!)--it's all there... And if you do end up with a big harvest, or if you just buy at the store, Storey Gillis is full of ideas--all easy and inexpensive." Jennifer was born in Washington, D.C., but currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband, Jack, and her three children.
