Topology, Geometry and Quantum Field Theory: Proceedings of the 2002 Oxford Symposium in Honour of the 60th Birthday of Graeme Segal (London ... Lecture Note Series, Series Number 308)

This volume covers the proceedings of an international conference held in Oxford in June 2002. In addition to articles arising from the conference, the book also contains the famous as-yet-unpublished article by Graeme Segal on the Definition of Conformal Field Theories. It is ideal as a view of the current state of the art and will appeal to established researchers as well as to novice graduate students.

This is the proceedings of an international conference held in Oxford in June 2002. The meeting was at the highest possible level and the articles in this book reflect this. As well as articles arising from the conference the book also contains the famous but as yet unpublished article from Graeme Segal on the Definition of Conformal Field Theories. This book is ideal as a view of the current state of the art and as such will appeal both to established researchers and graduate students who wish to begin research.
