This adventure chronicles events from what was known as the Fifty Year Struggle and the Killing Times in southwest Scotland and ultimately ends generations afterwards with descendants of Thomas Brownlee going to America for a new start in the Midwest and eventually the Pacific Northwest. This is a prequel to the book Nasturtiums for Grandma Minnie, published in November of 2011. Both works bring the Coffey and Brownlee families together to tell their history and stories of adventure, faith, love and struggle spanning many generations and hundreds of years of family history.
