Total Flow Management: Achieving Excellence with Kaizen and Lean Supply Chains

Total Flow Management is the first book of its kind to review in-depth the principles of Flow, Pull, Synchronization and Leveling and how they apply to the end to end Supply Chain. This book presents a full and integrated model for Lean in the supply chain excellence, beginning with establishing basic reliability, creating production flow, creating internal logistics flow, creating external logistics flow and finally to supply chain flow design. The book includes many cutting edge concepts like Pull Logistic Loops, low cost automation, standard work, mizusumashi (water spider), milk runs, junjo (sequencing), Logistic Graphs, Source and Delivery Lean Strategy that are necessary for the successful design and implementation of Lean in Supply Chains. With rich illustrations and detailed examples in 17 chapters, the book takes the reader from theory through the practical steps in implementing synchronized flow and pull across the supply chain.
