Couples is not only one of the most popular professional golfers, in 1991 and 1992 he was the best player on the PGA tour. But when news came to the golfing world that Freddie was writing a book, there were probably some raised eyebrows. You may have seen Couples on an often-run TV ad saying, in effect, I don't know any more about the golf swing than the average golfer--I take the club back and I hit it. In reality, though, Couples knows quite a lot about the swing, and his book of instruction is a pleasant surprise. His method is unorthodox, but many will be curious to find out how and why he does what he does. The book covers all aspects of the game, offers some interesting tips as well as the standard ones, and chats, occasionally, about the techniques of other well-known golfers.
