Sun is seriously out of sorts about the upcoming total solar eclipse. Will Earthlings go blind watching it? What will they think when Sun's dependable light suddenly vanishes in the middle of the day? How could Moon betray their stellar friendship?
When totality finally arrives and Moon completely hides our brightest star from millions of Earthlings in its shadow, no one is more surprised than Sun to find Moon helped it shine in a totally different way.
"I wish my grandchildren would have had this book when the last eclipse passed over. They will certainly have it for the upcoming eclipse! From the beginning, safety is the rule as the author explains the importance of solar eclipse glasses. But the book goes beyond safety and the science of an eclipse. It’s also about envy, friendship, and what fun it can be for two, not just one, to share center stage. Total Solar Eclipse: A Stellar Friendship Story is a perfect introduction to solar eclipses for little ones.” -- MARSHA DIANE ARNOLD, MULTI-AWARD-WINNING PICTURE BOOK AUTHOR
"Being an elementary school librarian and teacher, I love using books to prepare kids for new experiences. This book is an educator’s dream. It is full of vocabulary words and definitions that can lead to in-depth classroom discussions and projects." -- JOHN JANEZIC, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LIBRARIAN
"The author does an excellent job combining total solar eclipse information and safety with the social connections and struggles we all encounter when individuals and teams strive to work together. This book would be an excellent addition to any home or classroom library.” -- JODI BENSON, FORMER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
