I started writing this book back in 2023, though my steps were scattered at first. I took time to reflect on the stories I wanted to weave into these poems. As the title is "Touch the Soul", it was important for me to capture the deepest, most delicate moments of human life.
Most importantly, I valued spiritual worship more than physical worship because if our hearts remain covered with filth, how can we bow before Allah with sincerity? For that reason, I highlighted this feeling in some of the poems.
I have seen numerous people around me who place less value on spirituality but are overly confident about their physical worship. Of course, I am not putting less importance on physical worship, but I want to emphasise that we should be more conscious about cleansing our hearts. Because when we return to Allah, we will not carry our titles or our wealth, we will carry only our souls. That's why I titled the book this way.
So, for those who think like me, this book is for you, to dive deep into the world of your inward life, where you can truly see yourself. Some poems might closely relate to you, and in some poems, you'll see your own reflection.
If you are someone who likes to see life through a different lens, who doesn't see life's hurdles as bitterness but as opportunities for growth and reasons to feel gratitude towards your Creator, then this book is for you.

Selina Shilpee is a fortunate daughter, wife, mom, and author. She defined herself as more specifically an ambitious human being. She is always being to be passionate about her dream. To fulfill her aspirations she constantly remains active in learning and improving her knowledge. She is the first generation of her lineage who graduated in Law and she is the only girl in her entire village who write books in English. By bringing up her child she has to encounter different difficulties and challenges which she recognized as assets in her life.
