We Don't Touch Things

Tell your 9-year-old they've never actually touched anything in their life. Watch their face. Then hand them this book.

We Don't Touch Things takes one of the strangest ideas in all of science — that solid objects never truly make contact — and makes it completely visible for curious kids ages 9–12. No equations. No intimidating terminology. Just the real physics, explained through illustrations that make the invisible click into place.

Each spread answers a question kids actually ask:

• Why do objects feel solid if they're mostly empty space?
• What's really happening between your hand and this page right now?
• How do atoms know to push back — and why don't they just let things pass through?
• What does quantum mechanics have to do with a wall, a magnet, or a handshake?

Every concept is introduced visually first — the explanation follows the image, never the other way around. No prior science knowledge needed.

Perfect for kids ages 9–12 who ask too many questions. Also ideal for parents, grandparents, teachers, and homeschoolers who want STEM enrichment that doesn't feel like homework.

Add it to your cart — and let your kid spend the evening questioning everything they thought they knew about the physical world.
