Touchpebbles, Volume B: Texts for Discussion

More than 200,000 students and teachers each year gain discussion skills that enhance and deepen their education through the Touchstones Discussion Project. Regardless of their background or academic ability, students improve their listening, speaking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while learning respect and considerations for others. These skills transfer to their other classes and enable participants to achieve greater success. They listen to opposing views. They generate new ideas. Sometimes they change their own minds; sometimes they change the minds of others. Above all, they learn to take responsibility for themselves and their learning. Touchpebbles Volume B is the second volume in the Touchpebbles series. It includes short excerpts from such authors as William Butler Yeats, Euclid, Francis Bacon, and Booker T. Washington. Each text is designed to be accompanied by activities from Touchpebbles Volume B Teacher’s Guide.
