About the Author

Dr. Haki R. Madhubuti is a poet, publisher, editor, and educator who has authored and editednumerous books. He is aprofessor of English and founder and director emeritus of the Gwendolyn Brooks Center for BlackLiterature and Creative Writing at Chicago State University.
