36 page tinted photo plate commemorative booklet showing the various aspects and interior furnishing images of the NEW Town hall extension completed in 1938. Mr E. Vincent Harris ARA on the contract and J. Gerrard & Sons Ltd, of Swinton won the contract to build, very art deco in the exterior and interior with details of a massive "Gas Showrooms" occupying the ground area. The walls of Hopton Wood Stone and the floor of reconstructed marble. Some light damp stains to lower edges on prelims and last 8 pages and a little also on front board, rear page has dome foxing, cream vellum boards, back board also has some watermarking on the vellum. Small quarto. 1938.

We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance.
