To help identify models the book contains an index of manufacturers for both volumes and there are around 600 full colour photographs. Around 4,000 individual model trams and kits are identified, with the listing in each chapter being alphabetical by manufacturer. There are around 1,000 manufacturers named, most having a historical summary.
