Trachten. Italien. - Höfische Tracht um 1600. - Herrenkleid. Lips.1780-1790. Radierung / Strichätzung, in Schwarz, auf weißem Velin. Von Johann Heinrich Lips. 23,2 x 18,1 cm (Darstellung / Platte), 30 x 26 cm (Blatt).Im Rand teilweise fleckig. Verso Montagereste. Nur mäßig guter Zustand.Johann Heinrich Lips (1758 Kloten bei Zürich - 1817 Zürich). Schweizer Maler und Kupferstecher. 1773 Bekanntschaft mit Lavater, der ihn für seine Physiognomischen Fragmente beschäftigte. Ging 1780 nach Mannheim und weiter nach Düsseldorf, wo er Professor wurde. Reiste 1782 nach Rom, wo er im Vatikan und in der Farnesina nach Raffael zeichnete und für Philipp Hackert das Bacchusfest von Nicolas Poussin stach. Ab 1785 als Maler in Zürich tätig. 1786-89 wieder in Rom, wo er Johann Wolfgang von Goethe traf. 1789 auf dessen Vorschlag Berufung zum Professor an die Weimarer Zeichenakademie. Nicht signiert. Verso in Bleistift bezeichnet. Dazu Sammlerstempel. 23,2 x 18,1 cm (Darstellung / Platte), 30 x 26 cm (Blatt). Seller Inventory # 00111876
