Tracy Deirdre Furman, B.A., B.A., and M.A.T., has been a naturalist for over 20 years and is interested in a wide variety of wildlife conservation issues. Tracy has a specific interest in carnivores and pursued undergraduate work studying vertebral abnormalities among eastern coyotes. To better understand the behavior and stories of gray wolves, Tracy has studied both basic and advanced animal tracking methods with James C. Halfpenny in Yellowstone National Park, while tracking smaller mammals in her home region of the expansive Adirondack Park of upstate New York. Tracy has most recently volunteered in mammal collections at the New York State Museum and is pursuing a career in wildlife/conservation biology.
