Tracks Beneath the Clay: A Southern Gothic Dual-Timeline Novel by Leia Kay (Shadows of the South)

Every family has secrets-some are buried deeper than others.

In Tracks Beneath the Clay, Leia Kay delivers a haunting Southern Gothic dual-timeline novel that intertwines the lives of two women separated by more than a century.

In the present day, Janice returns to her family's crumbling Georgia farmhouse, hoping to restore it-and her mother's fading legacy. Hidden within its walls, she discovers letters and artifacts that hint at a dark history buried beneath generations of silence.

In the 1860s, Natalie, a northern woman visiting her southern relatives, becomes entangled in the lives of those enslaved on the Cheney plantation. Her friendship with Lucy, a young girl bound by circumstance and courage, sets in motion a chain of events that will echo through time.

Bound by land, blood, and unspoken truths, the women of Peachtree Plantation must each decide how much they're willing to risk to uncover what should have never been forgotten.

Fans of The House of Eve, The Vanishing Half, and The House Across the Lake will be captivated by this rich, atmospheric tale of family, redemption, and the ghosts of the South.
