Traditional Designs from India Iron-on Transfer Patterns

Whimsical in nature and often highly stylized, Indian designs are a splendid example of one of the world's oldest decorative art traditions. This collection of black-and-white iron-on transfer patterns includes a wealth of these imaginatively rendered designs — all meticulously adapted from authentic Indian art and artifacts.
Twenty-four plates of illustrations depict a profusion of intricate floral borders and blossoms, elegantly outfitted elephants, camels, and bulls; fancifully drawn fish, birds, and other fauna. Gracefully executed within circular shapes, rectangles, squares, and other configurations, the charming designs are perfect for adding exotic touches to cushion covers, table linens, clothing, and other fabrics. Also included are instructions for shisha embroidery, a traditional Indian embroidery technique.
Ideal for use in countless art and craft projects, these patterns can be applied to any material that absorbs ink. Instructions included.
