Crafted by: Mary Allen. Origin: Berkeley, California, USA. Period: 2010s. Description: Offered is a fine hand-made blank book. The (12mo) hardcover book is covered in a textured paper in varied shades of brown and white, features a traditional Smyth-sewn binding, hand-sewn signatures, sewn on jute cords. The bookblock has two marigold and burgundy silk headbands. Marigold textured endpapers surround handmade Japanese slightly thick antique white paper leaves (top cut, fore-edge and foot of book - jagged edge). Quite a delight to feel in your hands, and to use. Dimensions: 7.25 L x .5 W x 7.5 H inches. Purpose: Notebook, diary or journal.
