Report of the Committee on Trades Societies, appointed by the National Association for the Promotion of Social Science, Presented at the Fourth Annual Meeting 1860.With one volume edited by Charles Wager Ryalls, four edited by Edwin Pears, one edited by Andrew Edgar and nine edited by George Woodyatt Hastings.George Woodyatt Hastings (1825 - 1917) was an English Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1880 to 1892.Sir Edwin Pears (1835 - 27, 1919) was a British barrister, publicist, and historian.Meetings were held at a different location each year including, York, Sheffield, Manchester, Belfast, Birmingham, Brighton, Plymouth and Davenport, Leeds, Newcastle upon Tyne, Bristol, Edinburgh, London and Glasgow.Social science is the field of study concerned with society and human behaviours. 'Social science' is commonly used as an umbrella term to refer to a plurality of fields outside of the natural sciences. In half morocco bindings with cloth covered boards. Externally, sound but with wear to extremities and with the odd stain and mark to boards. With one hinge strained, six slightly strained. With institutional label to rear pastedown to all volumes.Internally, firmly bound. Bright but with odd scattered spotting, more pronounced to first and last few pages, slight offsetting to some pages and from bindings to endpapers and occasional marks to pages. Very Good.…
