viii, 191 pp; 4to; orig green pebbled cloth with brown pebbled cloth spine; some rubbing to spine and corners; end papers and half title foxed, with a few pages also showing a little spotting; binding solid; interior o/w fine. With the armorial bookplate of John Jope Rogers, MP for Helston 1859-64, a chairman of the old Cornwall Quarter Sessions, and president of the Royal Institution of Cornwall. Topics include: subscription libraries; Oxford libraries; cathedral libraries; "Is a Printed Catalogue of the British Museum Practicable?"; the Radcliffe Library at Oxford, and more. Nicely printed by the great Chiswick Press.
