About the Author

Phil Larson gets called by the aliases of Dr. Dad, Dr. Phil, Guru, Teach, Boss, Hermano Filipe, Pastor, and The Think Doctor. His most precious titles are husband, dad, and friend. Philip A. Larson mentors church planters and pastors, pastors Hope Connection and serves as Director of SOLUM COMMUNITY. SOLUM is Latin for soil or foundation. Our work is to build solid life foundations in individuals and families through community education and life coaching. Ordained since 1988, he has ministered in prisons, homes, the workplace, inner city missions, and around the supper table. He has pastored in a multi-cultural mission outreach and as part of the team with a large multi-cultural church. In corporate management he worked in retail and healthcare, insurance, profit, and non-profit concerns. His greatest love in life is seeing God move in individuals through personal discipleship, especially men. Since 2001 Phil has served as a volunteer with the National Center for Fathering coordinating several citywide prayer and fathering events. Phil and Dian, his first and only wife since 1978 live in Yukon, Oklahoma. Phil and Dian have three married children and one unmarried twenty-something, four grandchildren, and many who call him Poppa, Papi, and Papa.
