About the Author
Doris Helge, Ph.D., is an internationally known writer, speaker, and consultant. Last year, she keynoted over 100 national and state conferences and was interviewed on over 150 TV and radio programs. Dr. Helge's work has been featured in both scholarly and popular publications. She has been in private practice, and she previously taught and conducted research at the University of Texas, Murray State University, and Western Washington University. She also launched and directed three national organizations for at-risk children and families (CID, NRDI, and ACRES). Several of her national research studies were commissioned for Congressional testimony.
