Translating Israel: Contemporary Hebrew Literature and Its Reception in America (Judaic Traditions in Literature, Music, and Art)

Selecting from articles he has written for journals and edited collections over the past 20 years, Mintz (Hebrew literature, Jewish Theological Seminary of America) presents them as concrete encounters between modern Israeli literature and American literary scholarship. The nine essays cover the enterprise of Hebrew literature, the faces of Agnon, and rewriting the Zionist narrative. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
