Trapped In The Box: Breaking Free From Silence, Trauma, and Emotional Survival

Have you ever felt trapped by the boxes life placed around you—grief, fear, rejection, labels, loss, or shame?

In this powerful and deeply personal journey, Coach Meshell Applewhite Smack shares how childhood struggles, family expectations, hidden pain, and the devastating loss of her son became the very things God used to shape her purpose.

Through each chapter, she uncovers the “boxes” she lived in:

• Childhood boxes
• Grief boxes
• Church boxes
• Faith boxes
• Healing boxes

What once felt like a prison slowly became a place of transformation, where God brought healing, freedom, and strength.

This book is more than a story—it is an invitation.

With heartfelt reflections, declarations, and encouragement, readers are reminded that no matter what they have faced, they are not broken beyond repair. God can use every wound, every setback, and every painful season for His glory.
