Fourth edition. 3 folding maps, plus occasional title vignette. 8vo. Contemporary half calf, marbled boards, red morocco labels gilt, joints cracked, backstrip a little chipped & fragile but holding, marbled endpapers, binding by J. Lennox & Co. of Dumbarton (with their label), the first map to the front shows the Sea of Marmara, nice and clean, the middle map shows a plan of Constantinople, this a little grubbier to the extremities, and the rear map (double-folded & larger) shows Greece, Macedonia, Thrace, Bulgaria, Wallachia, Transylvania and Hungary.
