This is a scarce Guide Book and history of Traverse City published about 1920/21 and prepared by Hazel Gordon's English class, 10-2 section. It is undated, but using the dates of known contributors to the booklet, the publication date can be determined. Some of the topics are Legends of Traverse City, Places of Amusement, Hotels and Restaurants, Transportation, Garages, Clubs, etc. This booklet describes a Traverse City that had regular train service to Northport, Elk Rapids and beyond; 25 cent taxi cabs, five hotels, the "prettly little settlement" of Acme, etc. There is an index in the rear. Undoubtedly produced in a small edition. Very scarce. Original publishers brown, stapled paper covers with black cover lettering. ; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 27 pages.

We strive to ship all orders within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on 8vo size books (about 8"x5") weighing 2.0 pounds. If your book order contains more than one volume or is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know if extra shipping is required. While most Media Mail shipments has proven to be reliable in the continental USA and usually arrives in a timely fashion--in some cases media mail can take 2-3 weeks for delivery--sometimes longer. All of our shipments come with tracking numbers.
