Smith's Bookshop was established by AD Smith in 1894. For many years its home was at 133 Manchester Street however following the Christchurch earthquakes it moved to the Tannery, in Christchurch New Zealand where it continues to remain a fully independent bookshop specialising in New Zealand books. We have a carefully curated collection of new books, second-hand books, ephemera, magazines, and art supplies available both in-store and online. Currently, we have over 20,000 categorised here on our website.
