Uncut in the original plain blue wrappers, later rebacked retaining most of the original backstrip; covers chipped and stained, with a small old oval paper label on the front one; corners a little worn; one opening a little marked and another tanned from an old acidic insert; a few other minor signs of age and use; overall, in very good condition. Samuel Vince was Plumian Professor of Astronomy and Experimental Philosophy at the University of Cambridge.
