Frontispiece showing mine surveying of the Middle Ages, xviii, 477pp. 32pp. publisher's catalog, illustrated throughout showing chain survey with diagrams, sinking shafts, mineral deposits, `instruments used, and much more. Though this book had been revised, it apparently was revised so much that accentually it became a new book which was printed in large numbers. It sold out quickly like the first edition. Bound in brown cloth rubbing to spine corners lightly bumped, a few small stains to rear board., previous owners name and survey office. A good copy. Seller Inventory # 023255
