On The Treatment Of Pleurisy is a medical book written by John W. Corson in 1874. The book focuses on the treatment of pleurisy, a painful inflammation of the pleura (the membrane that lines the lungs and chest cavity). In addition to discussing the various treatment options for pleurisy, the book includes an appendix of cases that demonstrate the value of using combinations of croton oil, ether, and iodine as counter-irritants in other diseases. The book provides detailed information on the use of these substances, including dosages and administration methods. It is a valuable resource for medical professionals and researchers interested in the treatment of pleurisy and related conditions. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
