321 Pages Indexed. Covers show light wear and there is a large crease across the back cover. This book appears to be in large print however there is no mention of that. The word "Botts" is inked at the top of the half-title page. Design and photography by the author. The story of the Califonian missions as a cultural interchange between Roman Catholic Spain and indigenous Native Americans between 1769 and 1835. --- a study of 21 Franciscan missions and their asistencias (satellite units such as presidios and pueblos), dotted either side of a 600-mile trail known as El Camino Real linking Mission San Diego de Alcalá in San Diego in the south to Mission San Francisco Solano in Sonoma in the north.
