About the Author
Peter Burrows is a librarian who lives in the North West of England. His work has appeared in the Places of Poetry, The Cotton Grass Appreciation Society and Dreich anthologies, and other journals such as The North, Spelt and Interpreter's House. His poem Tracey Lithgow was shortlisted for the Hedgehog Press 2019 Cupid's Arrow Poetry Prize.peterburrowspoetry.wordpress.com @Peter_Burrows74
Phil Vernon lives in Kent. He returned to the UK in 2004 after spending two decades in different parts of Africa. He retired in 2024 after working in the international humanitarian and peacebuilding field. His version of the mediaeval hymn Stabat Mater was set to music by Nicola Burnett Smith, and has been performed internationally. His most recent publications were Foreshadowing, a micro-pamphlet based on the life of Martin Luther (Hedgehog Poetry Press, 2024), and his third full collection Guerrilla Country (Flight of the Dragonfly Press, 2024), which brought together his interest in landscape, peace and conflict. Tista Austin was born in Cambridge and studied Classics. She won a New Writing Ventures Award and was a winner for Cannon Sonnets, the Charles Causley Poetry Competition and the Edward Thomas Fellowship prize.She has collaborated with music and spoken word events in Norfolk and Suffolk, and her poetry has appeared in anthologies and journals, including The North, Frogmore Papers, Southwold and The Fenland Reed.
