Trial is a work of philosophical fiction that follows three characters, two trials, in one engaging narrative meant to give the reader a way to explore the complex social issues we face today, while allowing them to question and discover their own beliefs.

One rainy Tuesday morning, Jill Harris, an EMT, finds two DOAs at the scene of a crash. Jill investigates and leaves, not realizing the fallout from this crash will change her life forever.

After the crash, Jill becomes the hospital’s fall person for perceived improprieties performed at the scene. Laid off, without pay, Jill goes to a local bar instead of returning to an empty home, and finds herself raped and pregnant. This forces her to explore her own ideals while maneuvering the legal system alone as her husband serves overseas.

The two DOAs, John Witherspoon and Dr. Martin Andrews, wake in a courtroom. About to have their lives, beliefs, and ideals put on trial by their creator. In a place outside of time, The Deity questions their religious and ethical beliefs. Using struggles, Jill is facing to dive deeper into issues of rape, abortion, moral responsibility, and truth.
