Green cloth, spine lettered in gilt and with a gilt device on spine. Some discoloration of cloth covers, a couple of leaves chipped at margins, but in general a clean, very good copy. This book was issued in cloth and wrappers; hardcover copies usually are in a binding of blue cloth & boards, but this green cloth copy looks very much like a publisher`s binding as well, so perhaps it was issued in several formats. This green cloth copy has no half-title and no ads, but the imprint at the base of the spine is in the characteristic Funk & Wagnalls typeface.
